As fall turns to winter, thoughts of snow and severe weather begin to run through our minds.  We will make every effort to inform our families as early as possible about schedule changes due to weather.  When a cancellation takes place, all families will be notified by a School Messenger telephone call.  We will also report information to the following radio stations:  WTIM, WMKR, WMAY, WFMB, WXAI and WCVS.  In addition, TV stations WICS and WAND will be notified.  Please do not call the school office to see if school has been canceled as this will tie up school telephone lines and slow down the notification process.  If you have any questions about processes and procedures you are welcome to call Mr. Theilen.

When considering dismissal for snow or ice, there are many factors that must be considered: depth, wind, temperature, wind chill, previous road conditions, electricity and the timing of the snow/ice event. Â We will be in conference with local authorities and neighboring school districts to assure we are making the safest decision possible for our students and families!
Â
We will make every effort to pass closure news on to our families the night before the cancellation, but always be prepared for morning notices. Cancellation practices will follow the same protocol as for snow and ice cancellations.
Â
We will plan to utilize e-learning at times that a cancelation is necessary.
