I grew up on a farm east of Mt. Zion. After graduating from EIU, I began working at the state, which is how I ended up in Edinburg–closer to Springfield, but still in “the country.” I’ve got one swell husband, three rowdy kids, a boat load of animals, and a plethora of books. Yes, I count myself blessed! I am excited to be teaching subjects I LOVE this year–it will be a nice change from all the subjects I have been schooling my less-than-thrilled kids the past 12 years! I also love to: build stuff–you may see me sweating in my driveway over the summers; bake things–chocolate chip cookies and custom birthday cakes for the kids are my specialties; and bargain shop–mostly books, of course–wait until you see the 250+ new books I’ve picked up for the classroom at sales!
